DB Bistro Moderne Singapore

Was in a hurry going to the Art Science Museum for the Dinosaur exhibition and so decided to try out DB Bistro Moderne Singapore at Marina Bay Sands.

The place was dim and peaceful..good for a pleasant date :)

 Pastries...

 And more..

And more... crispy outside, soft inside...

We were in great hurry so we just ordered the mains.. this is Saffron Tagliolini ($40), comes with fresh Spanner Crab, Tomatoes, Chili, Italian Parsley, Lemon and Olive Oil...slightly dry but the crab was fresh and the pasta was bouncy...great texture with zingy sauce..

Bouillabaisse Royale ($49) consisted of market fish, scallop, prawn, mussels, lobster and garlic rouille. The gravy was realllllyy..I can taste the smoke in the prawn and the fish, mussels and lobsters were fresh..great combination. Quite filling actually..

Well you have to experience some exciting mix of French cooking with contemporary American flavors once in a while. At this restaurant, I do appreciate the effort in the dishes and the pastries. However, it will be better if the waiters can have more passion and smile more? Maybe the management can improve in their well-being and keep them happy? Or do they judge customers by how they dress? hmmmm.....

So here are my comments:
Ambience 3/5
Food 3/5
Service 3/5
Price Steep but worth a try

Check out their website at http://www.dbbistro.com/singapore/
