Kraze Burgers

If you are not familiar with this name yet, Kraze Burgers started off in South Korea and has not stopped expanding every since. There's one at Marina Bay Sands which we have tried during our trip there for the musical Grease early last month. We looked forward to the musical so much, that we could have anything there at MBS for dinner, as long as there's no queue. Affordable dinner with no queue at MBS? It's tough...

Finally, my cousin settled down with Kraze Burgers and started ordering without me! Well...because I was still OT-ing in office so was slightly late...

See the guy right at the back in blue with his arm up? He had been waving for assistance but to no avail..for quite awhile, I must say...

Garlic Idaho ($10). Sauteed rare-cut Potato Fries with Garlic and Butter, with sweet spicy sauce, cream mayonaise and mango dressing. This is quite a good appetizer, can be quite filling and gluttony too. Good for sharing. The fries were alright at the beginning, crispy and fragrant, but became soggy after awhile.

Ice Lemon Tea ($4.50). Slightly sweet for me...

I finally reached the place, panting and looking for serviette by myself because the waiters were out of sight. I went to a nearby counter with all the sauces and cutlery, one guy popped out of nowhere and asked me what I want. He asked me to sit down and he will take the serviette for me. So I waited and I received 2 pieces of miserable serviette from the waiter with a reluctant face. Well, maybe he had a bad day...

The K.B. original ($13) - 100% beef patty with cheese, home made pickle, lettuce, sun ripened tomato, onion and kraze bun. This is really a standard cheese burger with a better beef patty that tasted like real beef and not frozen, heavily seasoned meat which sometimes you can't tell if it's beef or pork. The salad at the side was refreshing.
Crab Burger ($18) - Mildly spiced with Singapore style deep fried crispy crab with chopped onion, mango, swiss cheese and wheat bun. This is definitely special. The fried crab patty was not greasy at all, but it was kind of dry...that the crisp of the fried flour could hurt my gums if I didn't chew properly. The wheat bun was good though. I like buns that are not oily yet crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which this wheat bun can satisfy. The patty definitely was made out of crab, no joke about it, but it also mixed with a bit of corn, mango and cheese...

When it came to billing, we had to bring the bill to the cashier and waited again, standing while he slowly and gracefully tidying up the receipts. I appreciate neatness but we were carrying a few bags and the show was starting soon...sigh...nevermind.

So here are my comments:
Ambience 2.5/5
Food 2.5/5
Service 2/5
Price Steep for the service
