Lunch and cake at Pulau Ubin!

This is so interesting. Have you ever told someone that "oh I had lunch at Pulau Ubin" and wait for their reaction? I had my colleague almost choked by his food when he heard that.

But yes! I had a wonderful lunch with my buddy and an ex-colleague there, with the sea breeze and all...it is very convenient to reach Pulau Ubin.

First, make your way to Changi Point Jetty Terminal. It's near the bus interchange so do check out which bus can take you there.

Then take the stairs down and head to Pulau Ubin departure gate. Please don't take out your passport, people will laugh at you.

Wait for the headcount to hit 10 or 12 and the captain will ask you to board his precious boat by telling you the boat number.

Off you go..

Squeezing almost 12 people into a small boat can be really warm and uncomfortable, but the ride only took 10-15 minutes so it's bearable..

 Meanwhile just enjoy the view..

Then I was welcomed by a cool canine at Pulau Ubin jetty...

So we had reached Pulau Ubin! Fresh air, sea breeze...but hot sun..

There were several bicycle shop which you can rent them by hours or day..sorry I didn't ask for the price because I was avoiding the sun by walking really quickly to my destination...

which is.....

 FOOD!

Don't be deceived by the low traffic here. After 10 minutes, it was fully packed! It's ok, because by that time, our food were ready!!

 Sambal Kang Kong

 Fried Fu Rong Egg

 Ma Po Toufu

 Lemon Chicken

 My favorite Steamed Fish!

I really ordered like hungry ghost because it's my one and only celebration meal of the week. I will tell you more about celebration meal when I blog about my diet regime.

These 5 dishes only cost $60+, really worth it. The amount wasn't alot but it was just nice for 3 grown ups.

Finally, we ended our lunch with First Love Patiserrie....goodness...

Again, for my readers who have not read about it yet, please click here for my first review and here for my blueberry flavor review. I highly recommend this cake!

This time, I tried the Belgium Chocolate flavor.

Oh, I tell you, having this cake by the sea was wonderful....it's like having a stroll by the beach with my lover holding my hands..simple yet sweet and delicate. Once again, I was lost with Belgium Chocolate melting and lingering in my mouth....so in love.

So do consider coming to Pulau Ubin some day! It's really refreshing and you are away from Singapore without having to chop your passport!

xoxo
